Hello Fashion Addicts!
My name is Ana Cristina Mariño and welcome to Moda Addicted.
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and move to Miami in 2007 with my family. From a very young age, I developed a love for clothes and the art of fashion. I remember when I moved, every time my mom and I would go to Walgreens or Target, I would always begged for her to buy me Vogue, Elle, Harper Bazaar to name a few. My fascination with the fashion advertisements and written articles grew bigger as I became older.
It was not until my second year in college, that I decided to pursue a career in my passion field. I began as a psychology major, God knows why! But my curiosity for the ‘BTS’ of magazines grew, and well it was then that I decided to go with Broadcast Media. I knew print was, and still kinda is, on a thin line so I chose the major with the most complete curriculum. I learned print journalism, editing and production, and writing for TV. In May 2016, I graduated with a degree in Communications and Psychology. Yep, I stuck with the science major because why not?!
My love and admiration for fashion turned into my hobby, now business, in 2014. I decided it was time I put in practice my skills, and created Moda Addicted. Here I can share with you, my wonderful readers, my level of expertise in the matter. While I don’t consider myself a fashion expert, I came to realized I often get compliments on my style and usually people ask for my advice. Moda Addicted for me is more than just a blog, is a platform where I share valuable lessons I have learned through my short life. Plus, I also learn a lot from what you guys share with me.
Aside from fashion, I also can be consider a TV show addict. I love reading YA novels; I try to read at least two yearly. I also read current events on a daily basis. I have come to a conclusion that ‘millennials’ have segregated themselves and decided to not care about surroundings (generalizing here), but I do feel that staying up to date of what is going on in the world in all topics: politics, economy, and foreign policies is something every single person in the world should do.
I hope you do find inspiration or answers to your doubts here. But, enough about me and more about you! I love getting to know the people who pass by the blog, so feel free to share things about you in the comment section below!
And like my favorite TV show says,
