Making the Fall Transition

Making a fall transition in a hot weather city can be challenging. You see people in other places dusting off their jackets and long sleeves, while you are still sweating once you step out. Here in Miami we get a couple of cold days, but they usually arrive in January. Sometimes we do get a chill Christmas. I had given up on the chance of creating a closet for fall transition. Now, I love to create this outfits. It is not about the types of clothing, but about the colors. The best way to do it is by shifting your closet’s color palette. In today’s post you see an outfits with black and reds, but to ease give it light I wore light sneakers.

The best way to create a fall transition in hot weather, is to wear cool clothes. Wear light material clothing like silk or cotton, and wear dark colors like black, burgundy, brown. Also, when temperature are high wear short sleeves, but no tank tops those are more summer. Include cardigans and long-sleeve shirts wrap around your waist to create the illusion of layers without suffocating. Fall season excites me because it means that Christmas is just around the corner. The holiday season is my favorite. For this year, I am excited about the colors that are trending. Burgundy, mustard, and olive green are color that are taking over magazines pages.

What is your favorite season of the year?

I am obsessed with fall weather! Sadly, we don’t get too much of it in Hawaii. That top though would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe! I think it would be flowy and perfect for cooler nights!

Living in Miami you NEED to improvise for Fall and focusing on Fall colors instead of the heavy clothing is a good way to avoid a heat stroke hahaha!

SPRING is my favorite! Promises of summer but cool enough you can still do stuff all day without melting in the summer heat. I’m in CA so I understand the lack of chill 😉
As an aside what’s in like around Orlando in January? We’ll be visiting for the disneyworld marathon around the 8th January, still warm?

Loving the outfits! When fall finally comes I will probably end up in a baggy jumper and jogging bottoms! I wish I looked this stylish but I get cold really easily and it always goes out the window!

Transitioning into Fall in the South is so hard when it’s still 100 degrees out. I can’t seem to get comfortable in the afternoon. Layering definitely helps.

This is a great outfit and I love those shoes! I have a similar situation living in California. We don’t always have the chance to wear “winter” type clothing either.

You could easily work in fall colors in your wardrobe, even in the hot states! 😉 I do love the seasonal changes though up here in the North East. It’s pretty breath taking.

I love fall fashion but I am more a fan of the summer months. I don’t like when it gets colder, I would be happy with shorts and tshirts with flip flops all year round.
